I wanna be a painter just like you when I grow up! I've always loved drawing and I used to stay up some nights as a teen working on a drawing (pencil and charcoal). I'd wake up my dad in the early AM. I liked how he always had solid criticisms like, "that part looks a little flat - maybe needs deeper shadows" or something like that. I gues it felt like he was really looking and not just saying "that's beautiful, honey". ( My mom hated that my pink carpet was getting dirty. I worked on the floor.) (I hated that my room was pink. Even though I had chosen it originally. The wallpaper had little pink flowers, too. Ugh.)
